Case study
Hope Church Ipswich

A former Odeon cinema in the heart of Ipswich, reborn as a home for Hope Church — with audio and visual integration running through the whole building.
The challenge
Cinemas are built to keep sound in and daylight out, but they’re not built for live worship. Hope Church needed their new home to work hard seven days a week — clear speech and full-band sound in the main auditorium, visuals everyone can see from every seat, and rooms that don’t fight each other acoustically.
What we designed
Rock-Tech provided full audio and visual integration throughout the building: an LED screen at the heart of the stage, immersive lighting, a sound system tuned to the room, and advanced soundproofing with acoustic treatment so every space works on its own terms. We carried the project from first drawings to final focus, with full project management along the way.
The result
A room that holds a congregation’s attention without asking for it. Sunday mornings get cinema-grade visuals and sound that’s warm at the back row, and the building serves the church’s whole week — not just the services.
